Berkat Ambon was contacted regarding baby Vany Hitipeuw, born on September 13, 2024. Currently, Vany is experiencing vomiting and coughing, making it difficult for her to drink milk, which has left her weak.
Vany’s parents, Yance Komul (32 years old), who works as an ojek driver, and Velya Hitipeuw (28 years old), a housewife, live in Waisarisa, Seram. Vany is their fourth child. Due to financial limitations, they haven’t been able to take Vany to a doctor yet. Their heartfelt wish is to bring Vany to Ambon for medical check-ups. Currently, Vany urgently needs transportation support from Seram to Ambon as well as eucalyptus oil, telon oil, and diapers.
At birth, Vany weighed 4.4 kg and was regularly breastfed. However, since December, her weight has been decreasing due to reduced breast milk intake. They can only buy formula when they can afford it, and sometimes Vany is only given plain water. Efforts are being made to get Vany and her mother to Ambon as soon as possible for a pediatric check-up.
For those who would like to help baby Vany, you can contact Berkat Ambon via Messenger.
May God bless and provide for all of Vany’s needs.
Update 2/8/25: Praise the Lord, tonight Vany and her mom have arrived in Ambon on the last ferry. Berkat Ambon helped with transportation from Seram to Ambon and provided Vany's needs for milk and diapers. Lord Jesus, please help Vany and open the way for further medical examinations. Brothers and sisters who want to share love with baby Vany can contact the Berkat Ambon messenger.

Update 2/11/25:

Praise the Lord, Vany was taken for a pediatric check-up on Monday, February 11, and was advised to return for a follow-up on Friday. Berkat Ambon assisted with transportation from Seram to Ambon and covered the doctor’s consultation fee.
After Monday’s examination, Vany began vomiting continuously, so on Tuesday, she was taken back to the doctor and was advised to return on Wednesday for an X-ray. Today, Vany vomited again, so she was taken back to the doctor for another check-up and the X-ray procedure. May the Lord Jesus guide every step of Vany’s treatment, ensuring a smooth process.
Update 2/12/25:

On February 12th, the volunteers of Berkat Ambon accompanied little Vany Hitipeuw, a 5-month-old, from Seram. Vany was taken to the doctor for a check-up due to vomiting, low hemoglobin, and malnutrition.
Praise God, the pediatrician who examined her did not ask for any payment. We thank the kind-hearted doctor! We provided donations in the form of milk as recommended by the doctor to improve Vany's nutrition and hemoglobin levels, as well as for her mother's needs.
The doctor actually recommended that Vany should be admitted to the hospital for intensive care due to the very risky condition if she stays at home. However, the family faces financial challenges due to the high cost of general patient hospital fees, and Vany doesn't yet have the necessary documents to register for BPJS. Let’s all help in prayer and support so that Vany can receive medical treatment at the hospital and be attended to as soon as possible. Those who wish to share and help Vany can contact Messenger Berkat Ambon.
Update 2/15/25: Vany from Seram is receiving medical treatment but does not yet have BPJS (Indonesia's health insurance). Berkat Ambon has covered Vany’s transportation costs, her guardian’s expenses, and the medical examination with a pediatric specialist (dr. SpA).
Vany has also been diagnosed with malnutrition because she frequently vomits after drinking. May the blessings provided for Vany bring healing and improvement to her health, and may they be a source of blessing for her life. May the Lord Jesus bless and strengthen her.
Update 2/17/25: Praise the Lord! Today, Berkat Ambon volunteers accompanied Baby Vany Hitipeuw for another check-up, even though it was only at the Puskesmas (community health center). Vany was supposed to be hospitalized, but due to not yet being registered for BPJS (health insurance), she could not be admitted. A few days ago, her hemoglobin (HB) levels dropped, but thanks to the special formula milk donation from Berkat Ambon, as recommended by the doctor, her HB levels and weight have now increased. Vany and her mother must return to their village to process the necessary documents for BPJS registration.
Let us pray that God opens the way for a smooth administrative process so that Vany can return soon and receive proper medical care for a full recovery. If you would like to help Baby Vany and support our ministry, you can do so by contacting us through Messenger Berkat Ambon. May the Lord Jesus bless us all!
Update 2/25/25:

Vany still requires further treatment, but it has been delayed due to the absence of her BPJS (Indonesia’s national health insurance). Currently, Vany's mother is working on processing her BPJS.
May Jesus help and open the way so that all the procedures go smoothly, and Vany can receive the necessary treatment. We pray that the fluids she consumes will give her strength and that she will no longer experience vomiting.
