From the information received by Berkat Ambon, Mr. Sunarto, born in Ngawi on June 16, 1952 (79 years old), is currently living with his wife and their child who has graduated from high school but is still unemployed.

Mr. Narto used to work as a construction laborer and had several falls from buildings, which caused a serious decline in his health. He now has difficulty walking and has suffered nerve damage that led to amnesia.

Their home is located on the edge of a cliff, and during the rainy season like now, the family is very worried about landslides and often cannot sleep well at night.

Day-to-day, Mr. Narto and his family sometimes only eat once a day. He once visited a doctor and was advised to eat regularly and take bone-strengthening vitamins. However, even affording one meal a day is already a blessing for them. Berkat Ambon Volunteers will be returning to deliver food supplies to Mr. Narto. May the Lord Jesus, in His miraculous way, help Mr. Narto and his family. For anyone who wishes to share love and support with Mr. Narto and his family, please contact Berkat Ambon via Messenger.

Update 5/20/25: Today, the volunteers brought assistance to Mr. Sunarto, who is suffering from amnesia and is unable to walk due to bone-related issues.

Update 6/19/25:

Berkat Ambon volunteers once again visited and brought assistance to Mr. Sunarto, a 73-year-old who is suffering from amnesia and is unable to walk due to bone-related pain. While working as a construction worker, Mr. Sunarto often had accidents where he fell from heights, which eventually caused nerve damage. As a result, he can no longer work to support himself.

May this blessing from God be enough to meet the needs of Mr. Sunarto and his family. Thank you so much to all the kindhearted people who have donated through Berkat Ambon, allowing us to continue sharing with those in need. May the Lord Jesus love and bless us all.

Update 7/28/25:

Berkat Ambon volunteers brought diapers and groceries to help Mr. Sunarto, who is currently ill. Mr. Sunarto previously worked as a construction worker, but a workplace accident left him unable to carry out his daily activities independently. As the sole breadwinner, his illness caused all five of his children to drop out of school at the time. Praise God, there are kind-hearted people who care about those around them, and because of that, Mr. Sunarto and his family have received support.

Update 8/8/25:

Praise the Lord! The Berkat Ambon volunteers once again visited the home of Mr. Sunarto, 72 years old, who is still suffering from memory loss/neurological issues as a result of frequent falls during his work as a construction laborer. Due to the family’s very limited financial situation, he has not been able to receive adequate medical treatment. Seeing that Mr. Narto’s bed was unfit for his condition, the Berkat Ambon volunteers brought a mattress, pillow, and other necessities for his care. Let us pray that Mr. Narto’s condition may recover and that he will regain his health. Thank you to all our brothers and sisters who continually support Berkat Ambon in reaching out to those in need of help. May God bless us all.

A Prayer for Hope: Lord, I maintain my hope in You and I hold onto the assurance that You are my Rock and my Refuge who bends His ear when the afflicted call out Your Name. As David prayed in Psalm 18:1: “I love you, Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”
