Rahel Souhuwat

From the information received by Berkat Ambon, volunteers visited Mrs. Rahel Souhuwat, who was born in Ambon on June 20, 1959. She lives with her husband, Mr. Piet Latuheru, who is 75 years old and works as a fisherman.

After undergoing a medical examination, Mrs. Rahel was diagnosed with end-stage cancer. The doctor recommended that she be referred outside Ambon for further treatment, but because of financial difficulties, the family has not yet been able to make a decision.

Even meeting her everyday needs, such as underpads, Anlene milk, and other necessities, has been quite difficult.

But we believe that Jesus Christ died for Mrs. Rahel, and therefore, the blood and wounds of Jesus are sufficient for her. The prayers and support of everyone who sees this post would mean so much to Mrs. Rahel. Volunteers from Berkat Ambon once again visited Mrs. Rahel Souhuwat. The donation was received directly by Mrs. Rahel, who is currently receiving treatment at the hospital. This donation is a great help toward covering Mrs. Rahel’s medical and care expenses. We pray that Mrs. Rahel will experience a miracle of divine healing.

Update 9/10/26:

In September 2026, volunteers from Berkat Ambon visited Mrs. Rahel Souhuwat, 67, who is currently being treated at the hospital. They also brought donations to help meet her needs. Mrs. Rahel has been diagnosed by doctors with end-stage cancer. Her family is facing very difficult financial circumstances. Her husband, Mr. Piet Latuheru, 75, works as a fisherman to support the family.

Doctors have recommended that Mrs. Rahel receive further medical treatment outside of Ambon. However, because of their financial limitations, the family has not yet been able to make a decision regarding further treatment. Her husband needs to stay with Mrs. Rahel at the hospital, which means he is currently unable to work and earn a living. Even meeting her basic daily needs, such as underpads, Anlene milk, and other necessities, has become very difficult. But we continue to pray and believe that the Lord Jesus is able to provide for every need of Mrs. Rahel and her family.
