The Berkat Ambon volunteers received information from the family and immediately visited Mr. Nicolas Pirsouw, aged 66, who is currently being treated at the hospital to see his condition firsthand. He is suffering from stomach and appendix issues, as well as difficulty with bowel movements. The doctor has recommended a complete ultrasound to assess his intestines, along with the need for laxative medications to help ease his condition. Due to the family’s financial limitations, he does not yet have BPJS Health Insurance. Please join us in prayer, that God will open the way and provide for all the medical expenses needed for Mr. Nicolas’ treatment, so he may experience healing. For those who feel moved to share love and help ease the burden of Mr. Nicolas' medical costs, you can contact Berkat Ambon via Messenger. May the Lord Jesus bless us all.

Update 8/22/25: Mr. Nicko Pirsouw, who passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025, is still at the hospital because there are no funds available to release his body. The cost of formalin is 1.5 million IDR per liter, needed for approximately 5 days, plus changing the formalin, totaling around 2.25 million IDR. This does not include clothing and a coffin, estimated at 4 million IDR, as well as a hearse to Wahai, which also costs around 4 million IDR. Berkat Ambon is still in contact with Mr. Nicko’s family. As of this post, there is no family member in Ambon who can accommodate Mr. Nicko’s body. In fact, some immediate family members even suggested, if necessary, to wrap him in plastic to take him back to the village due to financial hardship. For anyone who would like to help Mr. Nicko, please contact Berkat Ambon via Messenger.
