After receiving information about his condition, the Berkat Ambon Volunteers visited Mr. Asis Bayau, 48 years old, at his home in a clove plantation. Mr. Asis is suffering from a serious stomach illness. He was taken to the hospital some time ago, but because the hospital was at full capacity, he was unable to receive inpatient medical treatment. As a result, he is currently being cared for at home by his elderly parents. Mr. Asis is unmarried, and his family's financial situation is very limited.
At this time, he is in need of adult diapers, milk, and basic food supplies to help support his daily care. Let us pray that the Lord will open the way for Mr. Asis to receive the medical treatment he needs so that he may experience healing and recovery. May God bless everyone who continues to show compassion and support.
Update 7/18/26: Berkat Ambon extends its deepest condolences on the passing of Asis Bayau. Just a few days before his passing, Berkat Ambon volunteers had the opportunity to visit Asis and provide a donation to help with his daily needs. He had been suffering from severe acid reflux and was awaiting further medical examinations to determine the exact nature of his illness. We pray that the Lord Almighty will grant strength, comfort, and peace to the family he leaves behind during this time of grief.
