The Berkat Ambon volunteers returned to visit the home of Mrs. Marthafina Makatita, who is already 88 years old. Mrs. Martha’s condition is very weak, so she spends most of her time in bed. The family’s economic situation is very limited. The Berkat Ambon volunteers brought donations to help meet Mrs. Martha’s needs in her old age. We pray that God alone will do what is best for Mrs. Martha and grant strength and joy to the family who accompanies and cares for her.

Update 2/3/26:

At the beginning of February 2026, Berkat Ambon volunteers once again visited Grandma Marthafina Makatita, 88 years old, bringing donations to help meet her needs. Grandma Marthafina is in a weak condition, confined to bed, with impaired hearing. Her economic situation is very limited, so she lives in very modest conditions. We pray that God will open a way to provide for Grandma Fina’s needs and for those who faithfully accompany and care for her.

Update 3/9/26:

Volunteers from Berkat Ambon visited and saw firsthand the condition of Mrs. Marthafina Makatita, who is now 88 years old. Mrs. Marthafina is paralyzed and lives alone. She faces a difficult struggle in her old age, living in solitude with her condition. Last October, after Berkat Ambon received information about her situation, the Berkat Ambon volunteers began visiting her every month and bringing donations such as rice, diapers, and snacks to help meet Mrs. Marthafina’s needs. We pray that the Lord will do what is best, provide for her needs, and bless those who help her.

A Prayer for Hope: Lord, I maintain my hope in You and I hold onto the assurance that You are my Rock and my Refuge who bends His ear when the afflicted call out Your Name. As David prayed in Psalm 18:1: “I love you, Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”
