Kimberly Tomasoa

Updated: Aug 18

Age: 5 years old

We visited Kimberley Tomasoa, born in Ambon on October 18, 2018, who lives in Kudamati. Her father, Julianus Tomasoa, is 34 years old and has an unstable job, while her mother, Yolanda Mustamu, is 34 years old and works as a temporary employee.

Kimberley is diagnosed with Thalassemia. She repeatedly needed blood transfusions due to a drastic drop in her hemoglobin (Hb) levels, which once fell to just 1. After a transfusion, it rises to 10+, but then dropped again to an Hb of 3. It is only by the grace of Jesus has Kimberley survived until today.

The doctor has advised that she needs to be taken to another hospital as soon as possible because she cannot be treated in Ambon with limited supplies and facilities. However, the family is facing difficulties due to financial constraints. If anyone is willing to help Kimberley with transportation costs to Makassar, please contact us. Kimberley is not advised to travel by ship due to her drastic drop in Hemoglobin levels. Prayers and any donations given will greatly assist Kimberley. May Jesus help and bless Kimberley; may God's miraculous ways change her situation.

Update 7/28/24 9:05 AM PST: With the total donation of Rp. 450,000, Kim was able to receive blood transfusions. However, she still needs transportation costs to go to Makassar. Your prayers and donations will greatly support Kim.

Update 8/1/24: Visit to Kimberly, which has been referred to another hospital and has received another blood transfusion. According to previous diagnoses, Kim suffers from thalassemia, which causes her red blood cells to continuously decrease even after transfusions. However, praise God, Kim’s lips were no longer pale. Our prayer is that the Holy Blood of Jesus will meet all Kim’s blood needs. Donations have been handed over to Kimberly Tomasoa. Many thanks to all the brothers and sisters who have consistently prayed and donated for Kim. Kim needs funds for her referral to Makassar, and the family is facing financial difficulties for her ongoing treatment. May the Lord Jesus help through His miraculous ways and through the kind people He sends and guides.

Update 8/6/24: Today, Kimberly's stool samples were taken for examination at Prodia, and Berkat Ambon has assisted with the cost of the lab tests. Update 8/14/24: Praise the Lord Jesus! After being treated for several days at the hospital and receiving blood transfusions from donors, Kim is finally allowed to go home. The lab results for Helicobacter pylori were negative, and the blood culture test results were also negative. The doctor highly recommends a final test for folic acid levels, which costs IDR 1,649,000, and for vitamin B12 supplements, which costs IDR 1,648,000. The Lord Jesus has healed Kim, and we pray that God will provide for all of Kim’s needs in His miraculous way.
