Berkat Ambon received and visited Janpic Manuputty, born in Piru on November 26, 1996, who has been diagnosed with an intestinal disorder and has already undergone surgery. The doctor has recommended that Janpic undergo chemotherapy. Janpic works as a contract (honorary) staff member at the SBB Civil Registry Office and is currently staying in Ambon while waiting for the chemotherapy process. Janpic’s condition is somewhat weak, as he is afraid to eat. Berkat Ambon brought fruits, Bear Brand milk, and also provided donations to help Janpic while he is waiting for chemotherapy in Ambon.

We prayed and shared the truth of God’s Word with Janpic, believing that by the stripes of the Lord Jesus, Janpic has been healed and restored. There is nothing impossible for the Lord Jesus. A joyful heart is good medicine. Prayer support from many people will mean a lot for Janpic.

Update 1/8/26:

Due to weakness a few days ago, Janpic was hospitalized again, and yesterday he was allowed to return to his boarding place. Janpic will return for a follow-up on January 12 to discuss preparations for chemotherapy, and the chemotherapy is not covered by BPJS. The cost of chemotherapy is 600,000 rupiah, and according to the doctor, approximately 6 sessions of chemotherapy are needed. May the Lord Jesus help so that everything goes smoothly, and may the Lord Jesus provide all of Janpic’s needs.

Update 1/16/25:

Volunteers from Berkat Ambon visited Janpic, who is very weak and experiencing shortness of breath due to his enlarged abdomen caused by a buildup of fluid. Janpic also vomited during our visit, which made him even weaker. He has become afraid to eat and drink much because his impaired digestive circulation causes his stomach to swell and leads to breathing difficulties.

Last night, Janpic was taken to the hospital because he was extremely weak. Janpic’s needs while staying in a boarding house in Ambon, transportation to the doctor and hospital, as well as food expenses, are all being managed by the family, but at this time everything is very limited. Brothers and sisters who would like to share love and support Janpic’s treatment may contact Berkat Ambon via Messenger. Berkat Ambon brought donations to help Janpic purchase basic necessities. The Lord Jesus loves Janpic greatly—nothing is impossible for Jesus. We truly need the prayers of all our brothers and sisters. Medical teams and medications are limited, but the power of the Lord Jesus is miraculous.

Update 1/17/25:

Last night, due to extreme weakness, Janpic was taken to the hospital for treatment. Berkat Ambon volunteers delivered donations for Janpic. The Lord Jesus helps and provides for all the needs of Janpic and his caregiver.

Thank you very much for all the prayers offered for Janpic. According to the caregiver, there has been an improvement after Janpic took the medication prescribed by the doctor.

Update 2/1/26: Berkat Ambon extends its deepest condolences on the passing of our brother, Janpic Manuputty, at the age of 29 years and 2 months, due to a long-term intestinal illness. He had previously undergone medical treatment and intestinal surgery, but in the end, he had to accept God’s decision to return to Him. During his treatment, Berkat Ambon helped support his needs.

At present, the family’s economic condition is very limited. The body must be returned to Piru. The family is in great need of assistance for a coffin, which costs approximately Rp. 3,000,000, and an ambulance to transport the body back to the family in Piru, which costs approximately Rp. 2,000,000. We pray that God will open a way to meet the family’s needs.

Thank you to Sendy Manupassa for the donation of Rp. 300,000 to help with Janpic’s return to Piru. Farewell, Mr. Janpic. Your struggle is now over. For brothers and sisters who are moved to help Mr. Janpic’s family, please contact us via Berkat Ambon’s Messenger. May God bless us all.

A Prayer for Hope: Lord, I maintain my hope in You and I hold onto the assurance that You are my Rock and my Refuge who bends His ear when the afflicted call out Your Name. As David prayed in Psalm 18:1: “I love you, Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”
