Sickness: Hofni does not have his right arm and has been struggling to work. Recently, swollen lymph nodes on both sides of his neck appeared and have lasted for longer than 1 year - the ENT doctor in Indonesia recommends flying him to Makassar for surgery.

Update 8/26/25:

Berkat Ambon volunteers once again visited and delivered donations to Mr. Hofni Kilata, aged 63. Mr. Hofni is currently suffering from a tumor in his lymph nodes, which he has been battling for the past two years. Since last year, doctors have recommended that he undergo treatment outside of Ambon. However, due to severe financial constraints and having young children, Mr. Hofni has been unable to receive proper medical care and has had to rely on simple traditional remedies.

His condition is becoming increasingly concerning, as he frequently experiences bleeding from the nose. Doctors have recommended chemotherapy in Makassar. Berkat Ambon expresses condolences on the passing of Mr. Hofni Kilata at the age of 63 after suffering from a long illness. The late Mr. Hofni experienced swelling in his lymph nodes, which often caused bleeding through his nose and throat. Since falling ill, Mr. Hofni was unable to work and could only receive treatment as best as possible due to very limited financial means. Berkat Ambon has always provided assistance for Mr. Hofni and his family’s needs. In his final days, Berkat Ambon provided a coffin for Mr. Hofni. Let us pray that the Lord gives strength and comfort and provides for the livelihood of the family left behind. Thank you to all brothers and sisters who have supported us in this ministry.
