Gavariel Sahureka

The Berkat Ambon volunteers received information and visited the home of 9-year-old Gavariel Sahureka. Gavariel is suffering from a tumor in his leg, with pain spreading to his thigh and even up to his spine, making it difficult for him to carry out normal activities. He once consulted a doctor and was advised to undergo intensive examinations as soon as possible in order to proceed with further medical treatment. However, due to the family’s financial struggles and outstanding BPJS health insurance arrears of nearly Rp. 4 million, Gavariel is currently left enduring the pain without any medication or treatment to ease his suffering.

Update 10/6/25: Currently, Gavariel can only endure the pain and sleep, as he has not been able to receive proper medical treatment due to an outstanding BPJS Health balance of Rp 3,982,000 that has not yet been paid. The doctor has advised that an in-depth examination be carried out as soon as possible so that immediate medical action can be taken.
