Updated: Oct 15

According to the information we received, Berkat Ambon volunteers visited EUNIKE (Niken) LATUPEIRISSA (23 years old), who lives in Batu Gajah Tengah. Niken's mother, Mrs. Selvy (50 years old), shared that Niken has been diagnosed with leukemia and is currently under the care of a specialist doctor while also taking herbal medicine. The doctor has recommended that Niken be referred outside Ambon for a biopsy and further treatment.

The family faces financial challenges for the next steps, including the cost of travel tickets for Niken and her companion, as well as the potential need for an oxygen tank. Brothers and sisters who wish to support Niken and her mother can reach out through Berkat Ambon messenger. Berkat Ambon will also coordinate with the shelter for Eunike. May God bless and strengthen them!

Update 1/25/25:

ree

Eunike Latupeirissa has been diagnosed with leukemia. The doctor recommended that she urgently travel for a biopsy. Ideally, she should have already been in Makassar by yesterday or at the latest today, before the referred doctor leaves for Umrah. However, due to financial limitations, the trip has been delayed.

Today, the Berkat Ambon team met and prayed with Niken, asking for the mercy of the Lord Jesus. We believe that God, in His miraculous ways, will provide for all of Niken’s needs for her trip to Makassar, including tickets and other expenses. For those who would like to support Niken’s journey to Makassar can contact Berkat Ambon via Messenger. May the Lord Jesus bless and take care of Niken and all of us. Let us continue to fix our eyes on Him and place our hope in the Lord Jesus alone, for His eyes are always on His children who trust in Him.

Update 3/8/25:

ree

We visited Eunike (Niken) Latupeirissa at the hospital. Niken was vomiting and weak, so she was taken to the hospital. Her right eye is also bruised from being hit, but praise the Lord Jesus, Niken's condition is improving. There is no bleeding, and her hemoglobin level is normal. The doctor recommends that after being discharged from the hospital, Niken should be referred to Makassar for a biopsy. We all believe that Niken's trip to Makassar is just for confirmation that Niken is healed, in the name of Jesus.

Currently, Niken is taking one of the supplements that God is using to help what the body needs for healing. May God bless Ma Evy with good health, strength, and encouragement to continue supporting Niken. May all the needs and necessities be provided by the Lord Jesus.

Update 3/31/25:

ree

Today, we bought supplements for Niken. It was previously purchased and greatly helped in her health recovery. Because it had been consumed before, Niken felt the improvements, but due to financial limitations, she could no longer continue taking them. We praise the Lord for his countinous grace.

Update 4/15/25:

ree

Niken was just discharged from the hospital again due to bleeding, and the doctor has advised her to undergo a biopsy in Makassar as soon as possible. The plan, God willing and if tickets are available, is for Niken and her mother to travel to Makassar on April 19, the day after the Holy Communion service on Friday, April 18.

The Lord Jesus, in His miraculous ways, will help Niken with all her needs.Praise God, a place to stay in Makassar has already been arranged.

To those who feel led to share love and help Niken, you may contact Berkat Ambon via Messenger.

Update 4/19/25:

Niken has arrived in Makassar with her mother for a biopsy procedure. Berkat Ambon helped with the tickets for Niken and her mother to go to Makassar. The Berkat Ambon volunteers in Makassar will pray together with Niken and her mother as they prepare for the next steps. Only the love and help of the Lord Jesus can truly help Niken.

Update 4/23/25:

ree

Praise the Lord, we visited and prayed for Niken once again. Lord Jesus, please help and heal Niken's condition

Update 4/29/25:

ree

Last night, Niken was admitted to the hospital again due to bleeding and a drop in hemoglobin levels. A volunteer from Berkat Ambon in Makassar, Pastor Yopi Souhuwat, visited and prayed with Niken. Let us all pray for Niken—may the holy blood of Jesus flow through her body, replacing all the blood that has been lost. May the precious blood of Jesus restore the function of every organ in Niken's body, and by the stripes of Jesus, may she be healed and fully restored. Niken is a patient with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML) and is in Makassar for a bone marrow biopsy.

Update 5/2/25: Yesterday, after the blood transfusion, Niken’s hemoglobin (HB) level reached 8, but there was still bleeding during the transfusion. According to the doctor, it’s not a problem and a biopsy can still be done. However, it turns out Niken’s platelet count is low, so another transfusion is needed to increase the platelets. Niken’s mom has already signed the consent form for 8 bags of red blood cell transfusion. Praise God, everything has gone smoothly, and Niken is now undergoing the biopsy process. We really need prayer support from all for Niken and for all the patients being cared for by Berkat Ambon.

Update 5/9/25:

ree

Praise the Lord Jesus. Niken's condition after the biopsy is improving. Currently, Niken is undergoing a therapeutic process with Dr. Samangun, brought by BA volunteers in Makassar, and her condition continues to improve. Doctors and equipment are merely tools, but the healing power comes from our Lord Jesus Christ, who gives wisdom to the medical team in treating Niken. The Lord Jesus is good forever. Amen.

Update 6/12/25:

ree

Niken is diagnosed with leukemia and a cyst in her abdomen. A few days ago, she was readmitted to the hospital due to bleeding. After several days of treatment, she was allowed to return home. Yesterday, she went for a follow-up check-up and the doctor has given her clearance to stay home. Praise God, the cyst has already shrunk. If the Lord wills, Niken plans to return (to Ambon) either this week or next. For those who feel moved to share love and support, you may contact Berkat Ambon via Messenger. The Lord Jesus loves and blesses Niken—and all of us. In His miraculous way, the Lord Jesus will provide for all the needs of Niken and her mother for their return to Ambon.

Update 6/14/25: Praise the Lord, Niken and her mom's plane ticket from Makassar to Ambon has been provided. May the Lord Jesus, the source of all blessings, abundantly bless the donators. We believe the stripes and wounds of the Lord Jesus have healed and restored Niken's condition.

Update 7/20/25:

ree

Berkat Ambon volunteers visited and prayed with Niken. After returning from Makassar, Niken had to be hospitalized again for a few days due to bleeding, but praise the Lord, Niken is now in very good health.

Thank you so much to all brothers and sisters who have continuously supported her with your prayers. The Lord Jesus has restored Niken’s condition.

Update 9/5/25:

ree

Niken has been admitted to the hospital again due to low hemoglobin and platelets, and she needs a blood transfusion. Berkat Ambon visited and prayed with Niken. Every process that Niken is going through is the miraculous way of Lord Jesus to heal her. With all our prayers, the power of the blood and stripes of Lord Jesus will heal and restore Niken. The blood of Jesus is enough to supply the blood needed in Niken’s body.

Update 9/9/25:

ree

Praise the Lord, Niken’s test results are out and the cyst is no longer there. In the past few days, Niken experienced bleeding and needed a transfusion, and her platelets also dropped, but Niken and her mother lifted everything up in faith. All weaknesses have been borne by Jesus on the cross — by His stripes, Niken has been healed and restored. May Lord Jesus help Niken, and tomorrow she will already be able to return home.

Update 10/13/25:

ree

It was the first time meeting Eunike (Niken) Latupeirissa, who, according to the doctor’s diagnosis, was found to have a lump (myoma) as well as leukemia. But praise the Lord — after being referred to Makassar and undergoing a biopsy process, Niken was able to return to Ambon with a heart full of gratitude for the Lord Jesus’ evident help in her life. Currently, Niken has been hospitalized again due to bleeding. We are all praying together that the holy blood of Jesus covers and protects Niken — that every illness and the power of the enemy will have no authority over her body. The blood and stripes of the Lord Jesus are enough for Niken. May the Lord Jesus also give strength and health to her beloved mother, so she can continue to stay strong beside Niken and be a living testimony of God’s goodness. Berkat Ambon Volunteers brought donations and prayed together with Niken. Truly, the Lord Jesus is always good — forever good. Nothing is impossible for Him. Amen.

A Prayer for Hope: Lord, I maintain my hope in You and I hold onto the assurance that You are my Rock and my Refuge who bends His ear when the afflicted call out Your Name. As David prayed in Psalm 18:1: “I love you, Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”
