Mrs. Desi Ratna Sari, aged 36, and her baby Hafizah lives in the village of Mamala. Mrs. Desi is severely sick and unable to walk due to lung problems for the past 4 months. Although she has been seeking treatment at the local health center, it has not been sufficient and the family is currently facing a financial difficulty in proceeding with treatments. The father is a farmer, and the mother is still bedridden at Tulehu Hospital.
Her baby, named Hafizah, is 6 months old and has a thin body, possibly affected by her mother's illness as she has not received breast milk or formula. So far, we bought formula milk for baby Hafizah and groceries for the family. Update 7/26 8:26PM PST: Ms. Desi Ratnasari's child passed away last night (07/26/2024). Meanwhile, Ms. Desi is currently still being treated at Tulehu Hospital. Update 7/30 4:30 AM PST: Rest in peace, Mrs. Ratnasari. Today we received news that Mrs. Ratnasari has also returned to her Creator. May the Lord grant strength and comfort to her husband, her beloved child, and the entire extended family.
