Clairine Soplanit

Based on information received by Berkat Ambon, Clairine Soplanit was born in Ambon on May 28, 2020. She has been diagnosed with Retinoblastoma OD stage IV (with metastasis to the brain and spinal cord).

Her father, Shevic Soplanit (26 years old), and mother, Yussy Rehatta (26 years old), are currently unemployed because they are accompanying Clairine throughout her chemotherapy treatment following surgery. Clairine has completed surgery after undergoing 10 rounds of chemotherapy since June 2025, during which her entire eyeball and eyelids were removed. However, after follow-up checkups, cancer cells were still found, so an additional 2 rounds of chemotherapy were given, making a total of 12 rounds. From June to October, her condition was stable. But in early November 2025, the tumor became more aggressive—the tumor tissue grew in the area of the operated eye, enlarged further, and spread down toward her mouth and nose.

After coordination with the doctors, two options were given: palliative care or continuing chemotherapy with a higher dosage than before, with more severe side effects, including the risk of fainting or even the worst possible outcome. Her parents chose to continue chemotherapy despite all the risks, while praying and hoping for a miracle from the Lord Jesus.

At present, Clairine is undergoing her 13th round of chemotherapy and is expected to remain hospitalized for approximately 10 more days. Daily needs include diapers, milk, wet and dry tissues, underpads, sterile gauze, 3M bandages, and other necessities during hospitalization, as well as transportation, food, and drink for both parents. May the holy blood and wounds of the Lord Jesus flow through Clairine’s body, destroying every cancer cell and tumor within her. A Prayer for Hope: Lord, I maintain my hope in You and I hold onto the assurance that You are my Rock and my Refuge who bends His ear when the afflicted call out Your Name. As David prayed in Psalm 18:1: “I love you, Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”
