Chelsih Kristi Kaya

We received information and visited the hospital to see firsthand the condition of Chelsih Kristi Kaya, 9 years old, who was referred from Masohi Hospital with a diagnosis of rheumatic heart disease. Both heart valves are not functioning properly, affecting her lungs. Currently, her body is swollen due to fluid, and she is under the supervision of doctors at the hospital.

Berkat Ambon volunteers were able to visit Chelsih Kristi Kaya, a 9-year-old girl with a two-sided heart valve leak. Her heart valves do not close properly. A few days ago, Chelsih was in a critical condition, but now she is improving and needs heart medication injections. The doctor has advised that she be referred as soon as possible to a heart hospital in Makassar or Jakarta for further medical treatment. If Chelsih’s condition improves, her family plans to return to their village first to discuss with relatives, considering their very limited financial situation.
