Janeta Hatumena

Updated: Jan 23

The Berkat Ambon volunteers have received information about little Janeta Hatumena, who is 2 years old and lives in Suli. It is suspected that Janeta has a heart condition, as her body turns blue when she is tired or cries. Her heart and breathing are unstable. The family is awaiting the results of an echocardiogram. Her father works as a contract employee, and her mother is a housewife. Due to their financial situation, the parents are worried they won’t be able to afford treatment if the doctor recommends referral outside of Ambon.

Let us come together to pray and support so that Janeta can recover and be as cheerful as other children. Those who wish to help can contact us via Messenger at Berkat Ambon.

Update 9/10/24: Praise the Lord, finally, Janeta Hatumena, the patient with a heart defect, can travel to Jakarta today. Berkat Ambon helped cover the ticket costs for Jeanetha and her mother. Jeanetha will undergo surgery in Jakarta.

May God grant wisdom and skill to the medical team who will care for her. On Friday, Jeanetha will go to the hospital to register and proceed with the next steps. May the Lord Jesus make smooth every process. 🙏🏽

Update 9/22/24: Janetha Hatumena, who has been diagnosed with a heart leak in Ambon, has just completed a catheterization procedure, and the medical team is still discussing when she will need to undergo surgery. While being treated, Neta's ongoing needs include milk and diapers. Anyone who wishes to help Janetha can contact Berkat Ambon via Messenger. May the Lord Jesus bless us all as we help our brothers and sisters in need.

Update 11/19/24:

Janetha has been scheduled for surgery next week. We kindly ask for prayers from everyone for Janetha, who has been diagnosed with a heart defect. May the Lord Jesus guide and grant wisdom to the medical team handling Janetha so that the surgery goes smoothly. May He also bless Janetha's mother with good health and strength as she accompanies her daughter through this journey.

For those who wish to help Janetha through donations, you can contact us via Messenger Berkat Ambon.

The Lord Jesus loves and blesses you all. By His stripes, Janetha has been healed and restored.

Update 11/25/24: Janetha has been moved from the CICU to the HCU, and according to the doctor, her progress is improving. We kindly ask for continued prayers from everyone for Janetha's recovery. From the beginning, the doctors mentioned her condition was quite severe, as it involves not only a heart defect but also a narrowing of the blood vessels in the heart. However, we all strongly believe that Jesus Christ has already died for Janetha, and by His stripes, she is healed and restored.

Update 12/5/24:

Praise the Lord, Janetha's condition is improving! She still has one more follow-up appointment before she can return to Ambon. Berkat Ambon has been supporting Janetha's daily needs. Get well soon, sweet girl. Jesus loves Anet, and by His stripes, He heals and restores Anet.

Update 12/19/24:

Praise the Lord, Janetha has successfully undergone surgery and has now been allowed to return home. Janetha is a patient who suffered from narrowed heart blood vessels and a heart defect. She plans to travel back home with her mother and father by ship in January. After a long process filled with continuous prayers from her family and everyone who saw Berkat Ambon's posts, Janetha is now healed and recovering. For those who wish to assist with Janetha's journey home, you can contact Berkat Ambon via Messenger. May the Lord Jesus bless us all and keep everyone in good health.

Update 1/9/25: After completing the treatment process for a heart leak and narrowing, Janetha has finally been able to return to Ambon in good condition and will continue her check-ups in Ambon. Lord Jesus, please help Netha recover quickly and be able to resume her activities.

A Prayer for Hope: Lord, I maintain my hope in You and I hold onto the assurance that You are my Rock and my Refuge who bends His ear when the afflicted call out Your Name. As David prayed in Psalm 18:1: “I love you, Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”
