Anggely Laurensa Patty

Berkat Ambon received information and then visited the home of the Patty family in Allang, personally seeing the condition of Anggely Laurensa Patty, who is currently 1 year and 8 months old. Anggely suffers from a heart condition called PDA (Patent Ductus Arteriosus), Down syndrome, and also has a hernia.

Anggely is allergic to cow’s milk and therefore must drink Neocate formula, which costs more than Rp. 400,000 per can. Doctors have recommended that she be referred to Jakarta for further treatment, but the family’s very limited financial condition has made it difficult for her to receive advanced medical care. Update 5/28/26:

Berkat Ambon volunteers once again visited the home of the Patty family in Alang, bringing much-needed formula milk for Anggely Laurensa Patty and seeing firsthand her current condition. Anggely is currently 1 year and 8 months old and is suffering from Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA), a congenital heart condition, as well as Down syndrome and a hernia. She is also allergic to cow’s milk and must therefore consume Neocate formula, which costs more than Rp. 400,000 per can.

At present, Anggely requires regular medical checkups twice a week. Each visit involves transportation and other related expenses from Alang, amounting to approximately Rp. 200,000 per round trip. Her doctors have recommended that she be referred to Jakarta for further treatment. However, financial constraints have become a major obstacle due to the family’s very limited economic situation. In addition, the family needs a temporary lodging facility that can accommodate one parent and one caregiver during Anggely’s treatment in Jakarta.

We pray that the Lord will open doors and provide all that is needed so that Anggely can receive proper medical care, experience healing, and continue to grow in good health. May God bless and sustain her and her family throughout this journey.

Update 6/21/26:

At last, Anggely Laurensa Patty, aged 1 year and 9 months, has been able to travel by plane to Jakarta to continue her medical treatment at RSCM. Anggely frequently experiences difficulty breathing due to a heart condition that requires ongoing specialized medical care. However, her family's limited financial resources, along with the lack of a place to stay in Jakarta, had become major obstacles to her receiving the treatment she needs.

Berkat Ambon lifted Anggely's situation up in prayer, and by God's grace, the way was opened for Anggely and her mother, who is accompanying her, to travel to Jakarta and stay at a shelter home during her treatment. Let us continue to pray that the Lord will guide and protect Anggely throughout her medical journey, provide for all of their needs during this time, and grant her complete healing so that she can return to Ambon in good health. Update 7/1/26:

Anggely Laurensa Patty, aged 1 year and 9 months, traveled to Jakarta with her mother a few days ago for continued treatment after being diagnosed with a heart defect (a hole/leak in the heart). She is currently undergoing medical examinations by doctors to determine the appropriate time for her surgery.

Anggely was accompanied by Miss Jelita S. Mahulette, aged 16, who is also being treated for the same heart condition. Both of them were assisted by Berkat Ambon in traveling to Jakarta to receive further treatment at Harapan Kita Hospital. Miss Jelita is expected to return to Ambon in the near future.
