Update 5/28/26:

Berkat Ambon volunteers once again visited the home of the Patty family in Alang, bringing much-needed formula milk for little Anggely Laurensa Patty and seeing firsthand her current condition. Anggely is currently 1 year and 8 months old and is suffering from Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA), a congenital heart condition, as well as Down syndrome and a hernia. She is also allergic to cow’s milk and must therefore consume Neocate formula, which costs more than Rp. 400,000 per can.

At present, Anggely requires regular medical checkups twice a week. Each visit involves transportation and other related expenses from Alang, amounting to approximately Rp. 200,000 per round trip. Her doctors have recommended that she be referred to Jakarta for further treatment. However, financial constraints have become a major obstacle due to the family’s very limited economic situation. In addition, the family needs a temporary lodging facility that can accommodate one parent and one caregiver during Anggely’s treatment in Jakarta.
