Owen

Updated: Jul 22

Owen was scheduled for therapy this week, but due to unpaid BPJS fees, he has not yet been able to go to the hospital for his treatment. The doctor has advised that Owen should not stop his hormone medication until he is truly stable. Berkat Ambon has assisted with paying Owen's BPJS fees and is working to transfer his coverage to government BPJS to facilitate his therapy as scheduled. May the Lord Jesus continue to love and bless Owen always.

Update 9/9/24: Thank God, donations from Ambon helped pay for Owen's BPJS and transportation since Owen is in need for therapy every month. Today, Owen had a blood test and was found to have a thyroid hormone deficiency. The doctor advised that Owen should continue taking medication to boost his thyroid hormone levels. May the Lord Jesus bless Owen, and may his mother be given strength and good health to continue looking after him. Owen’s weight has slightly decreased, but he is becoming more active and intelligent. Praise God, may the love and mercy of the Lord Jesus continue to be with Owen.

Update 7/21/25:

Praise the Lord, today we received very joyful news. Little Owen Siwalette, whom Berkat Ambon has been serving since 2024—going in and out of the hospital, helping with BPJS payment arrangements, and meeting his needs because he has not yet been independent—today we received good news from Owen’s mother: this handsome boy is now able to walk and is always healthy.

Thank you so much to all brothers and sisters who continually pray for all the patients of Berkat Ambon. Every day we can see the hand of the Lord Jesus at work in each patient’s life.

The Lord Jesus loves and blesses us all.

A Prayer for Hope: Lord, I maintain my hope in You and I hold onto the assurance that You are my Rock and my Refuge who bends His ear when the afflicted call out Your Name. As David prayed in Psalm 18:1: “I love you, Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”
