Safri

Updated: May 10

From the information sent, Berkat Ambon volunteers visited Safri, a 3-year-old, living in Poka. Safri is experiencing delayed growth, unlike other children his age, because of nerve damage in his head. Safri requires continuous therapy for his physical recovery, at least until he can become independent. The family is in great need of help to cover transportation costs, as Safri needs to attend therapy regularly. Safri’s father, Mr. Yamin, is a fisherman, and his mother, Mrs. Ratna, is a housewife. She must care for Safri due to his weakened condition. The doctor has recommended that Safri drink Morigrow milk and has prescribed it. Safri’s mother longs for a stroller so that Safri doesn’t have to just lie down but can sit up, lean back, and be taken outside. Brothers and sisters who would like to help Safri can contact Berkat Ambon. The Lord Jesus will surely help Safri.

Update 3/27/25:

Praise the Lord! The Berkat Ambon volunteers have visited Safril again and brought donations, including diapers and milk, for Safril's needs. Since he was 7 months old, Safril has been suffering from a nerve disorder in his brain, which has resulted in him being unable to engage in normal activities. Now 4 years old, Safril still requires assistance with therapy and needs a special chair to sit comfortably. Brothers and sisters, you can share your love and help little Safril and the Berkat Ambon ministry by contacting the Berkat Ambon Messenger. May the Lord Jesus bless you all!

Update 5/5/25:

Volunteers from Berkat Ambon visited and delivered a stroller for little Safril, who is 4 years old. Safril has suffered from nerve compression in his head since he was 7 months old. Due to the family’s limited financial situation, he has not yet received proper medical treatment, and as a result, Safril is still unable to sit properly. Berkat Ambon is doing its best to fulfill his parents' wish to have a stroller, so Safril doesn’t have to remain lying in bed all the time and can sit more comfortably. Let us pray that little Safril may recover and live an active, normal life. To any brothers and sisters who feel moved to share love with Safril, you can contact Berkat Ambon via Messenger. May God bless us all.

A Prayer for Hope: Lord, I maintain my hope in You and I hold onto the assurance that You are my Rock and my Refuge who bends His ear when the afflicted call out Your Name. As David prayed in Psalm 18:1: “I love you, Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”
