Nelly Kapatan

Updated: Mar 1

The Berkat Ambon volunteers visited Mrs. Nelly Kapatan (Mama Ne), 57 years old, who is currently receiving treatment in the hospital. Since 2001, Mama Ne has been suffering from diabetes, and now she has a wound on her foot, fluid in her lungs and abdomen, and is experiencing difficulty breathing. The Berkat Ambon team has provided a donation to purchase special cream and sterile gauze to treat the wound on her left heel. Let us pray for Mama Ne's speedy recovery, knowing that for God, nothing is impossible.

Brothers and sisters, you can help Mama Ne and our ministry by contacting the Berkat Ambon messenger. May Jesus bless us all!

Update 2/28/25:

Berkat Ambon volunteers visited Mrs. Nelly Kaptan (Mama Ne). They prayed for her and provided a donation to help the family pay for two bags of blood at the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI). Mama Ne’s right heel had to be amputated due to complications from high blood sugar. However, we believe that nothing is impossible for God—may He bring healing and strength to Mama Ne.

She also urgently needs adult diapers and underpads while staying in the hospital. We ask for prayers from all, and for those who feel called to help, you can support Mama Ne and Berkat Ambon’s ministry by contacting us.

A Prayer for Hope: Lord, I maintain my hope in You and I hold onto the assurance that You are my Rock and my Refuge who bends His ear when the afflicted call out Your Name. As David prayed in Psalm 18:1: “I love you, Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”
