Karlen Abigail Berhitu

Karlen Abigail Berhitu, born in Ambon on August 14, 2016. Berkat Ambon volunteers visited her at the hospital. Karlen was admitted due to vomiting and diarrhea, accompanied by a high fever, which caused her to become very weak.

Karlen’s main issue is that her BPJS health insurance is not active, even though all other BPJS members listed in the family card are active. Karlen is required to pay for independent BPJS coverage so that the family does not receive a large hospital bill.

Her father, Frangky Berhitu (37), works daily as an online motorcycle taxi driver, and her mother, Sally R. Silawanebessy (35), is a homemaker who is also currently experiencing diarrhea at home, making the situation overwhelming for the father and grandmother.

At the time of our visit, Karlen only asked for watermelon and apples, and the volunteers delivered her request. Her fever has gone down, but she is still vomiting; the diarrhea has also decreased. Karlen’s BPJS is currently being processed by her father. May the Lord Jesus help and smooth all these processes. Brothers and sisters who wish to share love and support for Karlen may contact Berkat Ambon via Messenger.

A Prayer for Hope: Lord, I maintain my hope in You and I hold onto the assurance that You are my Rock and my Refuge who bends His ear when the afflicted call out Your Name. As David prayed in Psalm 18:1: “I love you, Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”
