Amorezia Tuasela

Based on the information we received, baby Amorezia Tuasela, born in Ambon on March 27, 2024, is currently suffering from severe vomiting and diarrhea (muntaber), with blood also present in her stool. Berkat Ambon visited the family, prayed with them, and provided a donation to help cover medical expenses for Amorezia's check-up.

At the moment, Amorezia is at home in Waai with her parents, Papa Flip Tuasela and Mama Dhea Corputty. She does not yet have BPJS (health insurance), and she is being cared for at home. As of this morning, we are still in contact with the family, and her stool continues to show traces of blood.

Update 7/19/25:

Berkat Ambon volunteers accompanied Amorezia Tuasela to register for BPJS Health Insurance. Amorezia is 1 year and 4 months old. A few months ago, she suffered from severe diarrhea and lung problems. Due to the family’s limited financial situation, she has not been able to receive adequate medical treatment because she is not yet registered for BPJS health insurance. They need to pay premiums for 15 months, calculated from when she was 0 months old. Currently, Amorezia is experiencing shortness of breath. Update 7/20/25: Assistance was given to pay for Amorezia’s BPJS so that she could be taken to the hospital. After being treated at one hospital, the doctor said she could go home because it was just a regular cough. However, Amorezia was still having shortness of breath with wheezing sounds, so her parents decided to take her to another hospital. Upon arrival, after examination and an X-ray, the diagnosis was that Amorezia has a lung infection. She also needs to have the mucus suctioned out, but this is currently hindered because they have to pay a penalty fee of approximately 800,000 Rupiah. Update 8/1/25: Amorezia has been allowed to go home tomorrow, even though she still has a cough and you can hear the phlegm, but it has lessened. Lord Jesus, please help Amorezia to be healthy and fully recover. May she be able to resume her activities once she's back home tomorrow. Amorezia is a very cheerful and happy child. May mom and dad be granted good health and be blessed to provide for all of Amorezia’s needs. Update 9/10/25:

Amorezia Tuasela is experiencing shortness of breath again, and her breathing produces sounds. Yesterday, Amorezia went to one hospital and was advised to be admitted, but there were no available rooms. At another hospital, she was told it was just a minor illness and sent home. This morning, Amorezia’s shortness of breath returned, along with a cold, and she was taken to a hospital that does not accept BPJS patients, so she was transferred to another hospital that does.

Praise the Lord, Amorezia has been attended to and is currently waiting for about 4 hours; she should be able to move to a room for inpatient care around 1 PM. Amorezia’s BPJS had a service penalty due to late payment. We are grateful to all the brothers and sisters who consistently donate through Berkat Ambon, as this month Berkat Ambon helped cover Amorezia’s BPJS fees. The service penalty will be informed later after the doctor’s report. Today, Amor's mom had planned to submit a job application and attend an interview, but she had to cancel to accompany Amorezia.
